OnYou ‑ AI Virtual Try on vs SwiftXR (3D/AR/VR) Viewerfor Shopify (2026)
OnYou and SwiftXR both aim to enhance the customer shopping experience using immersive technology, but they cater to slightly different needs. OnYou positions itself as an AI-powered virtual try-on solution specifically for fashion brands. Its strength lies in providing a personalized, interactive shopping experience using AI-driven size recommendations and an AI Shopping Assistant. This focuses heavily on reducing returns and increasing sales through tailored suggestions and effortless try-on processes. It is very focused on fashion and clothing virtual try on. SwiftXR, on the other hand, offers a broader range of immersive technologies, including 3D, AR, and VR. It focuses on enhancing product exploration and customer interaction across various product categories, not solely fashion. SwiftXR also offers 3D model conversion and creation tools, catering to merchants who want to showcase products in an interactive 3D format. Although it offers virtual try-on capabilities, it also focuses on AR and VR integration and overall engagement with product visuals, appealing to merchants looking for a more holistic immersive experience beyond just try-on features.

Our Verdict
For fashion brands prioritizing a personalized virtual try-on experience to reduce returns and boost sales, OnYou is the clear choice. Its AI Shopping Assistant and Size Recommendations offer targeted support to shoppers. On the other hand, if a merchant seeks a broader solution encompassing 3D, AR, and VR across diverse product categories, and wants to offer immersive product experiences beyond just try-on features, SwiftXR is more suitable. The 3D conversion and creation tools in SwiftXR make it better for merchants lacking existing 3D assets.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to integrate?
OnYou claims a 'one-click' integration, suggesting it might be slightly easier to set up initially. However, SwiftXR claims 'effortless setup', which implies a simple process as well. The actual ease of use will depend on the specific Shopify theme and setup of the merchant.
Which app is better for clothing businesses?
OnYou is explicitly designed for fashion brands, offering specific features like size recommendations and a photo-based try-on system tailored to clothing. SwiftXR can also be used for clothing but lacks the dedicated fashion focus.
Does either app require customers to download a separate application?
SwiftXR explicitly states its AR try-on doesn't require a separate app. OnYou doesn't mention app requirements, so it is unclear if one is needed.
Which app helps in creating 3D models of products?
SwiftXR offers AI-powered 3D creation, allowing merchants to turn 2D images into 3D models or avatars. OnYou does not have this capability.
Which app focuses on AI-powered shopping assistance?
OnYou features an 'AI Shopping Assistant' offering personalized product suggestions in real-time. SwiftXR focuses on other areas of AI, namely 3D model creation, but not specific shopping assistance.
