OnYou ‑ AI Virtual Try on vs The Immersive (3D/AR) ShowRoomfor Shopify (2026)
OnYou ‑ AI Virtual Try on and The Immersive (3D/AR) ShowRoom are both Shopify apps leveraging 3D/AR/VR technologies, but they target drastically different market segments. OnYou focuses on fashion retailers, offering an AI-powered virtual try-on experience where customers upload a photo to see how clothes look on them. Its key strength lies in personalization, size recommendations, and lead generation via email capture. It boasts a 5-star rating from 4 reviews and emphasizes ease of use with one-click integration. The app's positioning centers around enhancing the online shopping experience for clothing, reducing returns, and boosting sales through tailored recommendations. The Immersive (3D/AR) ShowRoom, in contrast, targets furniture merchants. It emphasizes augmented reality (AR) viewing to allow customers to visualize furniture in their own space and 3D models for detailed product inspection. Its core value proposition revolves around increasing conversion rates and minimizing returns by providing realistic product visualization. While its selling point is seamless integration and automatic 3D model creation, it currently has no reviews or rating, which is a significant drawback. There is a strong possibility that the OnYou app's target market of fashion is larger than furniture. However, if The Immersive (3D/AR) ShowRoom functions as described it could carve out a place for itself.

Our Verdict
For fashion retailers seeking to personalize the online shopping experience and reduce returns through AI-driven virtual try-on, OnYou ‑ AI Virtual Try on appears to be the stronger choice, particularly given its positive initial reviews. Its AI Shopping Assistant and size recommendations offer a more tailored experience. The effortless setup can also play a role.
However, for furniture merchants specifically focused on enabling customers to visualize products in their own space using AR and providing detailed 3D views, The Immersive (3D/AR) ShowRoom holds potential. While the absence of reviews is a concern, if the app performs as described, it could be a valuable asset. Merchants must prioritize its ability to reliably generate high-quality 3D models automatically.
