OnYou ‑ AI Virtual Try on vs Virtual Try Glassesfor Shopify (2026)
OnYou ‑ AI Virtual Try on and Virtual Try Glasses both leverage AI to offer virtual try-on experiences, but they cater to different segments within the Shopify ecosystem. OnYou positions itself as a comprehensive solution for fashion brands, focusing on apparel with features like personalized recommendations and email capture. Its strengths lie in its all-encompassing approach to clothing try-ons, offering an AI shopping assistant and size recommendations, aiming to reduce returns and boost sales. Virtual Try Glasses, on the other hand, is laser-focused on eyewear merchants, offering precise fitting and positioning adjustments. The primary differentiation is the product category served and the specific features tailored for those products. Virtual Try Glasses emphasizes accuracy and control for eyewear, offering intuitive fitting adjustments and supporting both 2D and 3D models. OnYou boasts a broader scope, aiming to enhance the overall shopping journey for fashion brands. While OnYou promotes effortless integration and a real-time AI assistant for personalized recommendations, Virtual Try Glasses highlights its advanced facial mapping for accurate virtual fittings and its ability to activate the try-on for selected products. The choice between the two hinges on whether the merchant sells apparel (OnYou) or eyewear (Virtual Try Glasses).

Our Verdict
For fashion brands looking to offer a comprehensive virtual try-on experience with personalized recommendations and lead generation capabilities, OnYou ‑ AI Virtual Try on is the better choice. Its features cater specifically to apparel and offer a broader approach to enhancing the customer journey. However, for merchants exclusively selling eyewear, Virtual Try Glasses is the clear winner. Its focus on accurate fitting adjustments, facial mapping, and support for 2D/3D models makes it a superior solution for eyewear visualization and purchase confidence. While OnYou has a slightly higher rating and more reviews (though still a small sample size), the specialization of Virtual Try Glasses is more important for eyewear retailers.
Given the limited data on both apps, further investigation into user reviews and support documentation would be beneficial before making a final decision. However, based solely on the provided information, Virtual Try Glasses offers a more tailored and effective solution for eyewear merchants, while OnYou provides a broader, more comprehensive approach for fashion retailers.
