OpenFiskal TSE & RKSV for POS vs Store Locator ‑ W3for Shopify (2026)
OpenFiskal TSE & RKSV for POS and Store Locator - W3, while both listed under the 'Selling in person' Shopify category, serve drastically different needs. OpenFiskal focuses on regulatory compliance for point-of-sale systems in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH region), addressing fiscalization requirements like KassenSichV and RKSV. It offers features like secure receipt signing with QR codes, automated Z-reports, cash book management, and audit-ready data exports. Our Verdict
The choice between OpenFiskal TSE & RKSV for POS and Store Locator - W3 depends entirely on the merchant's needs. If you operate a Shopify POS system in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland and are legally required to comply with KassenSichV or RKSV regulations, OpenFiskal is essential. If you do *not* operate in the DACH region, or your business doesn't have brick-and-mortar locations, then OpenFiskal isn't useful.
Conversely, if you have physical store locations that you want customers to find more easily, Store Locator - W3 is a viable option, regardless of your location (although it's most impactful if your existing SEO and findability are poor). If you are in the DACH region and need fiscal compliance, you will need *both* OpenFiskal and Store Locator if both issues apply to your business. They solve completely separate, unrelated problems.

Do these apps integrate with each other?
There is no explicit mention of integration between OpenFiskal and Store Locator - W3. They address different functionalities and likely operate independently.
