OpenFiskal TSE & RKSV for POS vs Supreme Store Locatorfor Shopify (2026)
OpenFiskal TSE & RKSV for POS and Supreme Store Locator address drastically different needs for Shopify merchants. OpenFiskal is a highly specialized application catering to merchants in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland who require compliance with KassenSichV and RKSV regulations for their point-of-sale (POS) systems. Its strength lies in providing a comprehensive fiscalization solution, including receipt signing, Z-reports, and bookkeeping tools, all designed to meet legal requirements. Conversely, Supreme Store Locator targets merchants with physical retail locations or distributor networks, offering a store locator solution integrated with Google Maps to drive traffic to those locations. The core difference lies in their purpose. OpenFiskal focuses on regulatory compliance and financial reporting for in-person sales in specific European countries, while Supreme Store Locator concentrates on enhancing the customer experience by facilitating the discovery of physical store locations. OpenFiskal's features revolve around secure receipt generation, audit-ready data exports, and FinanzOnline integration (for RKSV). Supreme Store Locator emphasizes customizable maps, dynamic search functionalities, and unlimited store listings to attract customers to brick-and-mortar stores. The stark contrast in ratings and reviews also suggests a significant difference in user satisfaction and reliability.

Our Verdict
The choice between OpenFiskal TSE & RKSV for POS and Supreme Store Locator is straightforward based on the merchant's specific needs. If a merchant operates a Shopify POS system in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland and requires adherence to KassenSichV and RKSV regulations, OpenFiskal is the clear choice, providing essential fiscalization features. The high rating and existing reviews further validate its effectiveness.
On the other hand, if the merchant's priority is to direct customers to physical store locations or distributor networks and improve in-store sales, Supreme Store Locator is the relevant application. However, the lack of reviews is a significant risk factor. Merchants should thoroughly evaluate Supreme Store Locator or seek alternative store locator apps with proven track records before committing. Unless specifically requiring fiscalization in the DACH region, OpenFiskal would not be helpful and it is unlikely to suit most stores' needs.
