OPH: Open & Close Hours vs ProveSource: Sales Pop Upsfor Shopify (2026)
OPH: Open & Close Hours and ProveSource: Sales Pop Ups both aim to enhance the Shopify store experience through pop-ups, but their functionalities serve distinct purposes. OPH is designed to clearly communicate store operating hours, holiday schedules, and temporary closures, primarily targeting businesses like restaurants and cafes with variable hours. This app prioritizes preventing unwanted orders during off-hours by disabling the cart and displaying reopening countdowns. ProveSource, on the other hand, focuses on leveraging social proof to boost sales and conversions. If a merchant needs to prominently display and manage their store's opening and closing hours, especially if they have variable hours or frequent temporary closures, then OPH: Open & Close Hours is the clear choice. Its features are specifically tailored to that purpose, including preventing orders during closed periods. However, if the primary goal is to leverage pop-ups for social proof and sales boosts, then ProveSource: Sales Pop Ups is likely a better fit, assuming its features align with those needs. While both have high ratings, the significantly higher number of reviews for ProveSource suggests a wider user base, which may indicate broader applicability or effectiveness.
