Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on gathering, managing, and showcasing customer reviews, Opinew Product Reviews App UGC is the superior choice. Its robust review management system, AliExpress/eBay import capabilities, and integration with marketing automation tools make it a powerful tool for building trust and driving conversions based on customer feedback.
However, if a merchant's marketing strategy revolves around visually engaging content, particularly short-form videos, Whatmore Shoppable Videos+Reel is the better option. Its seamless integration with Instagram and TikTok, combined with automatic product tagging, allows merchants to create interactive shopping experiences that capitalize on the popularity of video content. Businesses with strong social media presence will find it particularly beneficial. Therefore, the best app depends largely on the merchant's preferred content strategy.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps emphasize ease of use, but Whatmore might be slightly easier for merchants already active on Instagram and TikTok because of the automated video syncing. Opinew requires more initial setup to configure review request emails and import existing reviews, but provides more customization options.
Which app offers better ROI for a new store?
For a brand new store with limited existing customer data, Whatmore might provide a quicker ROI by leveraging existing social media content. Opinew's benefits are more pronounced once a store has a substantial customer base from which to solicit reviews.
Does Opinew support video reviews?
Yes, Opinew supports video reviews, making user-generated content a cornerstone of its offering. This allows merchants to showcase their products in real-world scenarios as demonstrated by their customers.
Does Whatmore offer support for YouTube?
The description provided only mentions support for Instagram Reels and TikTok. It does not explicitly state support for YouTube videos as of 2026.
Which app is better for SEO?
Opinew is likely better for SEO due to the text-based reviews contributing to keyword richness and schema markup. While Whatmore's video content is also valuable, Opinew's review content is more directly indexable and relevant to product-specific search queries.
