Our Verdict
While both apps have excellent ratings, the choice boils down to the merchant's technical expertise and specific requirements. A smaller merchant new to product feeds and focused solely on Facebook advertising would likely benefit most from Optim Feed's ease of use. A larger, more established merchant requiring advanced customization and multi-channel support would likely prefer Product Feeds by Syde.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Optim Feed - Facebook Catalog emphasizes a quick and easy setup within 5 minutes. Product Feeds by Syde, with its more extensive feature set, likely requires a steeper learning curve and more configuration time.
Which app supports more shopping engines?
Product Feeds by Syde supports over 80 shopping engines and allows for custom templates, while Optim Feed - Facebook Catalog is primarily focused on Facebook and, in the future, TikTok.
Which app provides more customization options?
Product Feeds by Syde offers a significantly wider range of customization options with its exhaustive library of placeholders and drag'n'drop interface for template creation. Optim Feed has limited customizations around labels and titles.
Which app is better for large product catalogs?
Optim Feed explicitly supports stores with up to 100,000 variants. While Product Feeds by Syde doesn't specify a limit, its more robust infrastructure likely makes it suitable for large catalogs as well, assuming the Shopify store can handle the data volume.

No, Optim Feed specifically states that it does not connect to Facebook automatically, preventing accidental overwrites of existing feeds.
