OPTIS Product Options, Variant vs Perfect Size Charts & Guidesfor Shopify (2026)
OPTIS Product Options, Variant and Perfect Size Charts & Guides both aim to enhance the product presentation and options available to Shopify merchants within the 'Custom products' and 'Product variants' categories. However, their focuses are distinct. OPTIS Product Options, Variant focuses on allowing merchants to create customizable product options and variants. In contrast, Perfect Size Charts & Guides centers on providing accurate sizing information through charts and guides, addressing customer concerns about fit and reducing returns. OPTIS boasts a substantial user base, reflected in its significantly higher review count, suggesting broader adoption and a longer track record. While both apps have a perfect 5/5 rating, the drastically different number of reviews (1536 for OPTIS versus 2 for Perfect Size Charts & Guides) suggests a significant difference in the level of community validation. OPTIS is likely targeted towards a wider range of merchants seeking to offer diverse product customizations. Perfect Size Charts & Guides caters to a more specific niche: businesses selling apparel, footwear, or any product where sizing is a critical factor and potentially a source of returns. The perceived ease of use and value proposition would therefore hinge on a merchant's specific needs relating to product customization versus size accuracy.

Our Verdict
For merchants looking to offer extensive product customization and variations, OPTIS Product Options, Variant is the clear choice. Its high review count suggests a well-established and widely used solution. However, businesses primarily concerned with reducing returns and improving customer satisfaction regarding size accuracy should consider Perfect Size Charts & Guides. While its review count is low, its targeted approach may make it a more suitable solution for specific use cases where sizing is paramount.
Ultimately, the best app depends on the merchant's needs. If your main goal is to allow customers to build custom products, OPTIS is the stronger option, despite potentially having a steeper learning curve. If preventing sizing errors is your top priority, Perfect Size Charts & Guides may be a better fit, assuming it can meet your specific size chart requirements.
Common Questions
Which app is better for a clothing store?
While both apps could potentially be used, Perfect Size Charts & Guides is likely more directly beneficial for a clothing store as it focuses on addressing sizing concerns, a major issue in apparel sales.
Which app is better for selling custom furniture?
OPTIS Product Options, Variant is better suited for selling custom furniture, as it allows customers to specify dimensions, materials, and other customizable features.
How important is the difference in review count?
The vast difference in review count suggests a significantly larger user base for OPTIS. This often translates to more community support, readily available tutorials, and a longer track record of updates and improvements. However, a small review count doesn't necessarily mean an app is bad, especially if it's newer or niche.
Are these apps mutually exclusive? Could I use both?
Yes, they can be used together. A merchant could use OPTIS to allow customization of a product's features and then Perfect Size Charts to help customers determine the correct size for that product. It would depend on the situation if both are warranted.
Does a 5/5 rating mean both apps are equally good?
While both have a perfect rating, the rating is more meaningful with a higher review volume. A 5/5 rating with 1536 reviews (OPTIS) is generally more trustworthy than a 5/5 rating with only 2 reviews (Perfect Size Charts & Guides) because it reflects the experiences of a much larger and more diverse user base.
