OPTIS Product Options, Variant vs Retailed Size Chart & Guidefor Shopify (2026)
While both OPTIS Product Options, Variant and Retailed Size Chart & Guide share the 'Custom products' and 'Product variants' Shopify categories and have a 5/5 rating, they cater to distinct needs within the e-commerce ecosystem. OPTIS Product Options, Variant focuses on empowering merchants to create highly customizable product offerings through advanced product options and variants. This caters to stores needing to offer personalized or configurable products to their customers. The incredibly high review count (1536) suggests widespread adoption and satisfaction within its target market. On the other hand, Retailed Size Chart & Guide tackles the crucial issue of sizing accuracy, particularly relevant in apparel and footwear retail. It likely provides tools for creating and displaying size charts to reduce returns and improve customer satisfaction by ensuring customers select the correct size. The lower review count (17) suggests it may be a newer app, cater to a more niche audience (specifically clothing/footwear retailers), or simply have less market penetration to date. Ultimately, these apps are not directly comparable replacements for one another. One enhances product configurability, and the other improves sizing accuracy in relevant verticals.

Our Verdict
The choice between OPTIS Product Options, Variant and Retailed Size Chart & Guide depends entirely on the merchant's specific needs. If you sell products with numerous customizable options or variations (e.g., engraving, color choices, personalized designs), OPTIS Product Options, Variant is the clear choice. Its high rating and large number of reviews indicate a robust and well-received solution for managing complex product configurations.
However, if you sell clothing, shoes, or other items where sizing is a significant factor, Retailed Size Chart & Guide is the appropriate solution. While its review count is much lower, its specialized functionality directly addresses a critical pain point for apparel retailers. They solve for different problems and are not mutually exclusive.
