Opus Cart Upsell Cart Drawer vs Payfy: Hide Payment Rulesfor Shopify (2026)
Opus Cart Upsell Cart Drawer and Payfy: Hide Payment Rules address very different needs within the Shopify ecosystem, despite both being categorized under 'Checkout' and 'Cart customization'. Opus is geared towards maximizing AOV and conversion rates through strategic upselling, cross-selling, and urgency tactics within the cart drawer itself. It aims to transform the standard cart experience into a revenue-generating engine. Payfy, on the other hand, focuses on refining the payment options presented to customers at checkout, streamlining the payment process by selectively hiding payment methods based on defined rules. The primary difference lies in their functional purpose. Opus is a growth-oriented app centered on increasing sales through marketing techniques applied at the cart level. Payfy offers greater control over payment gateways and presentation to increase conversion rates. While both touch on cart and checkout experiences, their functionalities are distinct. Merchants focused on sales and AOV will find Opus appealing, while those needing granular control over payment options will benefit from Payfy.

Our Verdict
The choice between Opus Cart Upsell Cart Drawer and Payfy: Hide Payment Rules depends heavily on the merchant's specific needs. If the primary goal is to boost Average Order Value and overall conversion rates through cart-based marketing strategies such as upsells and cross-sells, Opus is the clear choice. The higher rating and significantly more reviews also suggests greater user satisfaction and a more proven track record.
However, if the merchant's primary concern revolves around optimizing the checkout experience by managing and selectively displaying payment methods, Payfy provides a solution. The decision hinges on whether the priority is sales growth via upselling or streamlining the payment process. While Opus offers broad solutions for sales growth, Payfy is very specialized for specific payment gateway needs.
