Opus Cart Upsell Cart Drawer and Qikify Checkout Customizer both aim to increase AOV for Shopify merchants through upsells and cross-sells, but they approach this goal from different angles and at different stages of the customer journey. Opus focuses primarily on the cart drawer experience, using features like progress bars, free gifts, BOGO offers, and urgency timers to incentivize customers to add more items before reaching the checkout. Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with boosting AOV through pre-checkout incentives and simple, code-free customization, Opus Cart Upsell Cart Drawer is likely the better choice. The higher number of reviews and perfect rating suggest a positive user experience and effective performance. However, if checkout customization, fraud prevention, and advanced features like B2B checkout or custom app support (potentially with Shopify Plus) are critical, Qikify Checkout Customizer is the more suitable option. Qikify provides more control over the checkout experience, even though it has fewer reviews and a slightly lower rating, it's targeted at merchants needing highly customized checkout flows.
