Order Management — Trackeasy vs SiteAlerts Site Notificationsfor Shopify (2026)
Order Management — Trackeasy and SiteAlerts Site Notifications, while both falling under the 'Staff Notifications' category on Shopify, cater to drastically different needs. Trackeasy focuses on streamlining internal order management processes, particularly for businesses with physical order preparation and delivery workflows, such as restaurants or warehouses. Its strength lies in providing real-time tracking and communication across multiple devices and users, aiming to reduce manual tasks and prevent order delays. Conversely, SiteAlerts prioritizes the health and security of the online store by providing custom notifications based on unusual store events, such as potential fraud or abnormal order volumes. Trackeasy's value proposition centers around operational efficiency and improved order fulfillment, while SiteAlerts aims to enhance store security and preempt potential customer service issues stemming from problematic orders. The difference in the number of reviews (12 for Trackeasy versus 2 for SiteAlerts) may suggest a higher level of adoption or a longer market presence for Trackeasy, though both apps maintain a perfect 5/5 rating. This comparison highlights the importance of carefully considering the core problem each app solves and how it aligns with the merchant's specific business needs.

Our Verdict
If your priority is streamlining internal order management, particularly for a business involving physical order preparation and delivery, then Order Management — Trackeasy is the more suitable option. Its focus on real-time tracking, multi-device support, and order stage management directly addresses the challenges of coordinating complex order fulfillment processes. However, if you are primarily concerned with the security and health of your online store and want to be proactively notified of potential fraud, unusually high orders, or other anomalies, then SiteAlerts Site Notifications is the better choice. Trackeasy does not appear to offer security-related features, making SiteAlerts essential for merchants prioritizing risk mitigation.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
It's hard to say definitively without user experience reports, but given that Order Management — Trackeasy requires configuration of up to 7 order stages, it is likely more complex to set up than SiteAlerts, which focuses on anomaly detection, potentially requiring less initial configuration.
Can both apps be used together?
Yes, they can technically be used together since they address different needs. Trackeasy will help with internal order processing, while SiteAlerts will monitor for potential issues. However, merchants should consider whether the combined cost and notification volume justify the added functionality.
Which app is better for a small, online-only business?
SiteAlerts Site Notifications is likely the better fit for a small, online-only business. Order Management — Trackeasy's features are more relevant to businesses with physical order preparation and delivery processes, which are less common in very small, entirely online operations.
Does either app integrate with other platforms?
Neither app's description mentions integrations with other platforms. Additional research might be required to determine integration capabilities. Assume no integrations unless stated otherwise.
What is the pricing model for each app?
The descriptions do not include any pricing information. Merchants would need to consult the Shopify App Store or the app developers' websites for current pricing details. Pricing could be free, tiered, or based on usage.
