Order Management — Trackeasy vs TFM Expressfor Shopify (2026)
Order Management — Trackeasy and TFM Express are both Shopify apps falling under the 'Staff notifications' category, but they cater to vastly different needs and business models. Trackeasy is a broad order management solution aimed at streamlining internal processes like order preparation, packing, and delivery, emphasizing real-time tracking and communication avoidance. It appears designed for businesses needing to manage order fulfillment across multiple locations and user roles, such as restaurants, warehouses, or businesses with in-house delivery teams. Its strengths lie in its multi-device compatibility, customizable order stages, and reporting features. Given its higher rating (5/5 with 12 reviews), Trackeasy seems to resonate well with its existing user base. In contrast, TFM Express is a highly specialized app designed exclusively for merchants already using the TFM system for shipment creation and tracking. It acts as a bridge between a Shopify store and the TFM system, allowing TFM customers to easily monitor order statuses within their existing TFM infrastructure. Its primary focus is on simplifying the integration of Shopify orders with the TFM system and providing order tracking capabilities for TFM customers. The lack of reviews and a 0/5 rating suggests either a very niche target audience or a new app with limited traction, making its usability and value proposition difficult to assess independently.

Our Verdict
For the vast majority of Shopify merchants, Order Management — Trackeasy is the better choice. Its broader functionality and positive user reviews suggest a more reliable and versatile solution for managing order fulfillment processes. Its features, such as multi-device compatibility, order stage customization, and reporting, offer value to businesses seeking to optimize their internal workflows.
However, if a merchant is already deeply embedded within the TFM ecosystem and specifically requires seamless integration with the TFM system, then TFM Express is the only viable option. Without using TFM, this app provides no value. The absence of reviews and low rating, though, should be a major consideration before implementation.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Without direct experience, it's difficult to say definitively. However, TFM Express likely has a simpler setup for existing TFM users, as it's designed for a specific integration. Trackeasy might require more configuration to tailor it to a specific workflow, but it appears to be more accessible to users unfamiliar with TFM.
Can both apps handle orders with COD (Cash on Delivery) payments?
TFM Express explicitly mentions support for COD orders. Trackeasy doesn't directly state COD support, but its generalized order management features could potentially be adapted to handle COD processes through custom workflows or integrations.
Which app is more suitable for a restaurant managing online orders?
Order Management — Trackeasy is explicitly designed for tracking order preparation in a restaurant kitchen, making it the more suitable choice for this use case. TFM Express offers no restaurant-specific functionality.
If I don't know what TFM is, should I use TFM Express?
Absolutely not. TFM Express is useless without the TFM system. Using Trackeasy would be more beneficial.
How do I determine which app has better customer support?
Based on the available information, it's impossible to determine which app has better customer support. A higher number of reviews (like Trackeasy has) *might* indicate more active engagement and responsiveness from the developers, but this is not always the case. Additional research, contacting the developers directly, or reviewing external sources (if available) would be necessary to assess customer support quality.
