Order Management — Trackeasy vs Zong ‑ Branded SMS Pakistanfor Shopify (2026)
Order Management – Trackeasy and Zong – Branded SMS Pakistan cater to drastically different needs within the Shopify ecosystem, despite sharing the 'Staff notifications' category. Trackeasy focuses on internal order management, streamlining the preparation and delivery process within a merchant's operations. It aims to eliminate manual communication and paper-based tracking, particularly beneficial for restaurants, warehouses, and businesses with their own delivery teams. Zong, on the other hand, is geared towards external communication and marketing via SMS, specifically targeted at merchants in Pakistan using Zong's corporate SMS service. The key difference lies in their objectives. Trackeasy optimizes operational efficiency and internal workflow using features like order stage tracking, multi-device access, and preparation reports. Zong aims to enhance customer engagement and drive sales by automating SMS notifications for orders, abandoned carts, and marketing campaigns. Given its reliance on Zong's service, its target market is very geographically specific. While Trackeasy can support various location and user scenarios, its strengths lie in internal control and transparency. Both apps provide value, but to very different merchant profiles.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking to streamline their internal order processing and delivery operations, especially those managing restaurants or warehouses with multiple locations, Order Management — Trackeasy is the more suitable choice. It offers granular control over order stages and provides valuable preparation reports. However, its reliance on the availability of devices such as tablets and mobile phones on the operations side, should be considered.
Conversely, Zong — Branded SMS Pakistan is specifically targeted at Shopify stores operating in Pakistan and using Zong's SMS service. If a merchant aims to enhance customer communication through automated SMS notifications and run SMS marketing campaigns targeting abandoned carts and existing customers in Pakistan, Zong is the dedicated solution. Note the zero rating and zero reviews which suggest that the app could be new and unproven, potentially requiring extra due diligence before adoption.
