Order Returns | easyReturns vs ShipPro Shipping Protectionfor Shopify (2026)
Order Returns | easyReturns and ShipPro Shipping Protection, while both listed under the "Returns and warranty" category in the Shopify app store, address entirely different aspects of the post-purchase experience. easyReturns focuses on streamlining the actual return process for both merchants and customers. It offers features like a branded returns portal, automated label generation, and customizable return rules, aiming to make returns more efficient and less painful. ShipPro Shipping Protection, on the other hand, is focused on providing shipping insurance to customers and allowing merchants to retain the premium, adding a new revenue stream. It emphasizes revenue generation and increasing customer trust through shipping protection offerings. easyReturns is ideal for merchants looking to improve the efficiency and customer experience of their returns process. Its strength lies in automating and customizing the returns workflow. In contrast, ShipPro Shipping Protection focuses on a merchant's bottom line by turning shipping protection into a profit center. The two apps cater to different pain points and business goals, one focused on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction and the other focused on revenue generation and risk mitigation. Both apps boast relatively high ratings, but easyReturns has significantly more reviews, indicating a potentially larger user base and more extensive usage.

Common Questions
Which app helps me reduce the amount of manual work involved in returns?
Order Returns | easyReturns, with its automated label generation and smart rules, is designed to reduce the manual workload associated with processing returns.
Can I customize the return process for my brand with either app?
Yes, Order Returns | easyReturns allows you to customize the returns portal with your brand identity. While ShipPro integrates seamlessly with your theme, it doesn't focus on customizing the *returns* process branding directly.
Does either app directly increase my store's revenue?
Yes, ShipPro Shipping Protection is designed to directly increase revenue by allowing you to charge a percentage of the order value as shipping protection, which you retain 100% of.
Which app is better if I want to offer my customers hassle-free shipping insurance?
ShipPro Shipping Protection is the better choice for offering shipping insurance, as it is specifically designed to allow you to charge customers for shipping protection and keep 100% of the premiums.
Which app is more appropriate for a small business with few returns?
If you're a small business with minimal returns and looking for ways to increase revenue and offer shipping protection, ShipPro Shipping Protection likely provides more value. easyReturns' robust features may be overkill for a small number of returns.
