Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with reducing shipping costs due to frequent orders to the same address, Ordery *could* be a viable option. However, the complete lack of reviews makes it a risky choice. Recheck Order Editing + Upsell is the safer bet for merchants seeking a well-regarded and actively used order editing solution with potential upselling capabilities. Without user feedback on Ordery, Recheck Order Editing + Upsell is the stronger recommendation, especially for new Shopify businesses looking for established solutions. Merchants considering Ordery should proceed with caution and prioritize thorough testing if a trial period is available.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Based on the available information, it's impossible to definitively say. Ordery's focused functionality *suggests* simplicity, but the lack of reviews offers no user validation. Recheck Order Editing + Upsell, while potentially more complex due to broader features, has positive user reviews which imply acceptable usability.
Which app is better for reducing costs?
Ordery explicitly targets shipping cost reduction. Recheck Order Editing + Upsell aims to increase revenue through upselling, which *can* indirectly improve profitability by offsetting other costs. However, if the primary goal is direct shipping cost savings, Ordery's stated purpose aligns better – *if* it functions as intended.
Is Ordery a risky choice?
Yes, the lack of reviews is a significant red flag. It's impossible to gauge the app's reliability, functionality, or support quality. Merchants should proceed with extreme caution and seek a trial period before committing.
Does Recheck Order Editing + Upsell also merge orders?
The app description doesn't explicitly mention order merging. Its primary focus appears to be on editing existing orders and adding upselling opportunities.
Which app is best for a growing e-commerce business?
Recheck Order Editing + Upsell likely offers more value to a growing business, as its functionality is established and positively reviewed. The ability to edit orders and implement upsells can be valuable for optimizing the customer experience and increasing revenue. Ordery may be of value to these same businesses down the road, but the risk it presents to these newer companies may not be worth the savings, so it should be tested thoroughly first to ensure order merging does not present other shipping complications.
