OSOM Instagram feed vs Xpansion Bulk Product Upsellfor Shopify (2026)
OSOM Instagram feed and Xpansion Bulk Product Upsell are both Shopify apps with perfect 5/5 ratings, but they address very different needs within a Shopify store. OSOM Instagram feed focuses on leveraging social proof by seamlessly integrating an Instagram feed onto the merchant's website. Its strength lies in its ease of use, visual appeal, and the potential to convert visitors into customers and Instagram followers. In contrast, Xpansion Bulk Product Upsell is geared towards increasing average order value by allowing merchants to display and promote complementary products, with bulk add-to-cart functionality. Its strength is in its flexibility of product association (metafields or manual selection) and its potential impact on sales. Both are Shopify 2.0 compatible, however the user base and feature set differ dramatically. OSOM Instagram feed targets merchants who actively use Instagram to promote their products or brand and want to showcase that content directly on their Shopify store. This is useful for brands leveraging influencer marketing or visual product showcases. Xpansion Bulk Product Upsell caters to merchants seeking to increase sales by strategically suggesting related products, and providing an easy bulk add to cart option. This is useful for stores with clearly associated products, such as fashion (matching accessories), electronics (related components) or crafts (needed tools). The overlap is low, but both are content-related via visual promotion.
