OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification vs QuantChargeback Alertsfor Shopify (2026)
OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification and QuantChargeback Alerts, while both falling under the 'Fraud' category in the Shopify App Store, address fundamentally different types of fraud and serve distinct merchant needs. OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification focuses on preventing losses associated with fraudulent or abandoned Cash on Delivery (CoD) orders. Its core strength lies in verifying order authenticity through OTP verification via WhatsApp, SMS, or email, reducing Return-to-Origin (RTO) rates and protecting margins. It directly targets merchants, particularly those in regions like India, Pakistan, Philippines, and Egypt, where CoD is prevalent and prone to abuse. QuantChargeback Alerts, on the other hand, tackles chargeback fraud. It leverages Ethoca, Verifi, and AI automation to detect and respond to disputes in real-time, aiming for a "Zero Chargeback Rate." This app focuses on preventing chargebacks by offering instant refunds and providing a central dashboard for managing chargeback activity. It is tailored for merchants seeking to minimize financial losses and administrative burdens associated with chargebacks, especially in regions with higher credit card fraud rates. The key differentiator is the proactive approach to chargeback prevention vs. COD order verification.

QuantChargeback Alerts is best suited for merchants experiencing a high volume of chargebacks. Although lacking reviews currently, the promise of AI-driven automation to prevent chargebacks holds significant value. If chargeback rates are a major concern, a merchant willing to be an early adopter might consider it, but due to the lack of reviews, caution is advised until user feedback is available.
