OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification vs Trouble Tracker | Chargebackfor Shopify (2026)
OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification and Trouble Tracker | Chargeback both address fraud prevention for Shopify merchants, but take fundamentally different approaches. OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification focuses on reducing 'Return to Origin' (RTO) and fake Cash on Delivery (COD) orders by proactively verifying orders, particularly in regions where COD is prevalent. It uses WhatsApp, SMS, or email OTP verification to confirm order validity before dispatch, aiming to cut failed deliveries and protect margins. This app is designed for merchants looking to streamline COD order fulfillment and improve customer communication regarding order status. Trouble Tracker | Chargeback, on the other hand, is designed to protect merchants from credit card chargebacks and identify potentially problematic orders. Its core feature is chargeback defense, offering expert dispute assistance to increase win rates and recover revenue. It also provides a real-time alert system for merchants to identify and manage risky orders before they impact fulfillment. Trouble Tracker is more geared towards merchants focused on minimizing financial losses due to chargebacks and managing potentially difficult customers.

Our Verdict
OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification is the clear choice for merchants heavily reliant on Cash on Delivery, especially those operating in regions prone to fake orders or high return rates. Its focus on proactive verification and automated customer communication offers a streamlined solution to improve order fulfillment and reduce losses due to RTO.
Trouble Tracker | Chargeback is better suited for merchants facing significant chargeback issues and needing assistance in disputing them. While the rating is low, it might still be helpful for businesses struggling to manage chargeback claims and identify potentially problematic customers, especially if they lack the internal resources to handle disputes effectively. However, the low rating should prompt careful consideration of other chargeback defense options.
