OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification vs Verifly ID Verification & KYCfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, choosing between OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification and Verifly ID Verification & KYC for your Shopify store presents a clear decision based on your specific needs. OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification focuses on reducing fraudulent Cash on Delivery (CoD) orders and improving customer communication. It does this by implementing an OTP verification process via WhatsApp, SMS, or Email before order fulfillment, coupled with automated order status updates. This positions it as a solution for merchants, particularly those in regions with high CoD usage (India, Pakistan, Philippines, Egypt specifically mentioned), seeking to minimize Return to Origin (RTO) rates and associated losses. Verifly ID Verification & KYC, on the other hand, aims to provide more comprehensive identity verification and Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance. The fundamental difference lies in the scope of fraud prevention. OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification tackles CoD-specific fraud and improves the customer experience through communication, while Verifly ID Verification & KYC likely aims for broader identity verification processes, possibly involving document uploads and data verification services. Based on the available data, Verifly has no reviews or ratings at this time. This makes it difficult to gauge its usability or effectiveness in comparison to the alternative.
