OTP Login with Phone vs Singleton | Verify Customersfor Shopify (2026)
Both OTP Login with Phone and Singleton | Verify Customers have perfect 5/5 ratings, however, they serve drastically different purposes. OTP Login with Phone focuses on streamlining the login process with secure, passwordless authentication using one-time passwords sent via SMS or email. It's geared towards enhancing user experience and security during account creation and login. Features like customizable OTP settings, flexible account updates, and integration with SMS providers highlight its strength in providing a frictionless and secure login process. Singleton | Verify Customers, on the other hand, is designed for merchants who need strict control over who can access their store's content and make purchases. Its core function is customer verification, allowing merchants to approve or decline customer access, hide prices and 'add to cart' buttons from unapproved users, and customize registration forms. This makes it suitable for businesses selling to a closed group or requiring pre-approval before purchase. The app prioritizes control and exclusivity over login convenience.

Our Verdict
If you aim to simplify and secure the login process for all customers while enhancing user experience, OTP Login with Phone is the superior choice. Its strengths lie in quick, secure logins and customizable OTP settings, appealing to a wider audience.
However, if your business requires controlled access, pre-approval for customers, or exclusive pricing for a select group, Singleton | Verify Customers is the more appropriate solution. It offers the necessary tools to filter and validate customers, granting or denying access to key features of your store. The apps serve entirely different needs, making the 'best' choice dependent on specific business requirements.
