OTP Login with Phone vs UpSolite: Bulk Invite & Loginfor Shopify (2026)
OTP Login with Phone and UpSolite: Bulk Invite & Login, while both in the 'Accounts and login' category, address distinct needs. OTP Login with Phone focuses on enhancing the standard login process by replacing passwords with one-time codes sent via phone or email. Its strength lies in improving login security and user experience through features like customizable OTP settings and integration with SMS providers. This app is ideal for merchants looking to streamline account creation and login, reduce password-related issues, and boost security. UpSolite: Bulk Invite & Login, on the other hand, targets merchants migrating to Shopify or dealing with a large number of disabled customer accounts. Its core functionality revolves around bulk inviting customers and simplifying account reactivation. The key benefit is minimizing the friction associated with transitioning existing customers to a new Shopify store. Features like bulk invite with a single click, automatic invite prompts, and Login as Customer are designed to expedite the customer onboarding process after migration. The biggest difference is that OTP Login provides an ongoing solution for a typical Shopify store and UpSolite is more of a solution for store migrations. Given the drastic difference in reviews, 39 for OTP vs 1 for Upsolite, merchants should exercise caution when evaluating Upsolite as it doesn't seem to be tested by as many users. It is possible Upsolite is a very new app, but that is not stated in the description and is only speculation.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with enhancing the day-to-day login experience and bolstering security, OTP Login with Phone is the superior choice. Its features directly address common login issues and offer customization to fit various store needs. The significantly higher number of reviews (39 vs. 1) also suggests a more mature and widely tested application.
However, if the primary challenge is migrating a large customer base to a new Shopify store or dealing with numerous disabled accounts, UpSolite: Bulk Invite & Login is more suitable. Its bulk invite and login management capabilities are specifically designed to streamline this process. Still, given the limited review count, merchants should proceed cautiously and potentially explore alternative solutions or carefully test Upsolite before fully committing to it.
Common Questions
Which app is better for reducing cart abandonment?
OTP Login with Phone's OTP on Checkout feature could potentially reduce cart abandonment by simplifying the signup/verification process at the checkout stage. UpSolite does not directly address cart abandonment.
Which app is easier to set up?
Without hands-on experience, it's difficult to definitively say. Both apps claim ease of use, but UpSolite, with its single-click bulk invite, sounds simpler initially. However, customizing OTP settings in OTP Login might require more configuration.
Can I use both apps together?
Yes, theoretically, you could use both. OTP Login can handle day-to-day login and signup. UpSolite can be used during a migration event. There are no known conflicts between the apps as of 2026.
Which app is more cost-effective in the long run?
The descriptions do not provide pricing information. A cost comparison cannot be made at this time. However, generally solutions that automate processes (like Upsolite) end up being more cost effective over time than ones that just improve existing processes, as human input is reduced. But, that depends on the cost of the app.
Does either app offer multi-factor authentication (MFA)?
OTP Login, with its reliance on one-time passwords, essentially provides a form of MFA. The customer needs access to their phone or email to receive the OTP. UpSolite focuses on account migration and does not offer this functionality. It is not explicitly called MFA but provides it using a customer's phone number.
