OTP Login with Phone vs VerifyItfor Shopify (2026)
OTP Login with Phone and VerifyIt, while both operating in the 'Accounts and login' category, cater to distinctly different needs within a Shopify store. OTP Login with Phone focuses on streamlining the overall login and registration process by replacing traditional passwords with OTP authentication via phone or email. It aims to enhance user experience and security during account creation and login. Conversely, VerifyIt is narrowly focused on mitigating risks associated with Cash On Delivery (COD) orders by verifying customers through an OTP sent after they place an order. Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a comprehensive solution to simplify and secure the entire login and registration process for all customers, OTP Login with Phone is the clear choice, evidenced by its positive ratings and review count. Its customizable features and broad compatibility make it suitable for a wider range of stores. However, if a merchant's primary concern is minimizing risks specifically associated with Cash On Delivery orders, and they are willing to overlook the lack of ratings and reviews, VerifyIt may offer a targeted solution, although its effectiveness is yet to be proven. A merchant considering VerifyIt should prioritize thoroughly testing the app and its support before full deployment.
