Outify vs QuickEdit: Bulk Product Editfor Shopify (2026)
Outify and QuickEdit: Bulk Product Edit are both Shopify apps falling under the 'Inventory - Other' category, but they address fundamentally different needs. Outify focuses on automating the visibility of products based on inventory levels, aiming to prevent lost sales by automatically hiding out-of-stock items and republishing them when restocked. This improves customer experience by only showing available products. QuickEdit: Bulk Product Edit, on the other hand, is a tool designed for efficiently managing product information across a large catalog. It allows merchants to make bulk edits to various product attributes, such as descriptions, prices, and inventory levels, significantly saving time compared to manual edits. The primary difference lies in their core functions: Outify automates inventory visibility, while QuickEdit automates inventory *editing* (among other things). QuickEdit is more geared towards merchants who need to manage and update large product catalogs regularly, while Outify caters to stores where stock levels fluctuate frequently and a 'never out of stock' presentation is desired. Outify’s value proposition is tied to automatically handling availability, while QuickEdit provides value by enabling bulk product management and edits, saving time and effort.

Our Verdict
QuickEdit: Bulk Product Edit is the stronger choice for merchants who need to manage and update a large number of product attributes regularly. The high rating and numerous positive reviews suggest a reliable and effective solution for bulk editing tasks. It would be incredibly valuable for store owners who need to quickly adjust pricing, descriptions, or other product details across their entire catalog.
Outify, while potentially useful, lacks any user feedback, making it difficult to assess its reliability or effectiveness. Until there is evidence of its functionality and stability, recommending QuickEdit: Bulk Product Edit is safer and more sensible, especially for stores that prioritize effective inventory management and want a solution backed by user reviews. If a store's primary need is solely automated hiding and unhiding of products based on inventory, *and* they are willing to take a risk on an unproven app, Outify may be considered for trial. Otherwise, QuickEdit offers a more robust and well-received solution even if it requires manual adjustments to inventory levels.
Common Questions
Does Outify allow me to edit product descriptions in bulk?
No, Outify's primary function is to automatically hide and unhide products based on inventory levels. It doesn't offer any bulk editing capabilities for product attributes like descriptions.
Can QuickEdit: Bulk Product Edit automatically hide out-of-stock products?
While QuickEdit: Bulk Product Edit allows you to edit inventory levels in bulk, it doesn't automatically hide products when they go out of stock. This would require a manual or scheduled task.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the descriptions and lack of reviews for Outify, it's difficult to definitively say. Outify's focused functionality suggests a potentially simpler setup, but QuickEdit: Bulk Product Edit's extensive features might be well-organized and intuitive. Without user reviews for Outify, QuickEdit is a safer bet for ease of use as well.
If my inventory levels fluctuate rapidly, which app would be more helpful?
Outify is designed specifically to address fluctuating inventory by automatically hiding and unhiding products. However, without any reviews to confirm its reliability, QuickEdit could be used to quickly update inventory levels in bulk, though it wouldn't be fully automated.
Is it possible to revert changes made by Outify?
The app description doesn't explicitly mention a revert feature. QuickEdit allows to easily revert any made task which is a powerful tool to have in case you make any errors.
