Ovrboard Wholesale vs VDB Ring Creatorfor Shopify (2026)
Ovrboard Wholesale and VDB Ring Creator, while both falling under Shopify's 'Sourcing options - Other' category, serve drastically different purposes and target very distinct merchant segments. Ovrboard Wholesale acts as a connector app to an external product sourcing platform, aiming to streamline inventory management and reordering by syncing inventory data. Its value proposition centers around automating supply chain processes and offering resupply suggestions, targeting merchants looking to optimize their product sourcing and inventory management workflow. The complete lack of reviews and rating raises concern about its adoption and reliability. In stark contrast, VDB Ring Creator is a customer-facing app that empowers merchants to offer custom ring creation experiences. It allows customers to mix and match gemstones and mountings, effectively expanding the merchant's inventory through a combination of owned and virtual stock. VDB Ring Creator's features focus on customization, localization, and interactive 3D previews, aiming to enhance customer engagement and boost conversions. The app enjoys a perfect rating and several positive reviews, signaling a potentially more reliable and user-friendly solution, though targeting only the specific jewelry niche.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with streamlining product sourcing and automating their supply chain through an external platform, Ovrboard Wholesale might seem appealing. However, the complete absence of reviews and a zero rating raise serious concerns about its functionality and reliability. It's difficult to recommend this app without further evidence of its value.
On the other hand, VDB Ring Creator is a clear choice for jewelry merchants specializing in rings who want to offer a personalized and engaging customer experience. The positive reviews and high rating suggest a functional and well-received app. If you're in the ring selling business and looking to boost conversions through customization, VDB Ring Creator is the far superior option based on the available data.
