Oxilayer PDF Invoice Generator vs Staxxerfor Shopify (2026)
Oxilayer PDF Invoice Generator and Staxxer, both boasting a perfect 5/5 rating, cater to vastly different needs within the Shopify ecosystem in 2026. Oxilayer focuses on a core, essential function for virtually all merchants: generating PDF invoices. With a considerable 105 reviews, it suggests a well-established presence and a user base satisfied with its invoice generation capabilities. Staxxer, on the other hand, directly addresses the complexities of European VAT and EPR compliance, making it a highly specialized app. Staxxer’s limited reviews (1) hints at either a recent launch or a very niche appeal. Its strength lies in automating VAT returns, managing OSS regulations, handling EPR obligations, and providing insights through a centralized dashboard. This positions Staxxer as a solution for Shopify merchants selling into the European market who are struggling with the increasing regulatory burden of VAT and EPR. The core difference is that one focuses on invoice creation, while the other focuses on VAT and EPR compliance in Europe.

Our Verdict
For the vast majority of Shopify merchants, Oxilayer PDF Invoice Generator fulfills a basic but critical need: generating invoices. Its high review count and strong rating suggest it does this job well. However, if your business operates within Europe or sells to European customers, and you're grappling with VAT, OSS, or EPR, then Staxxer is the clear choice. It's a highly specialized tool designed to automate these complex processes.
Staxxer appears to be solving a very specific and painful problem, while Oxilayer is a general utility. The significant difference in review count suggests Oxilayer is more broadly applicable, but Staxxer offers essential functionality for its target audience.
