Oxilayer PDF Invoice Generator vs VAT Dual Pricingfor Shopify (2026)
Oxilayer PDF Invoice Generator and VAT Dual Pricing, while both categorized under Finances and Taxes within the Shopify ecosystem, serve distinctly different purposes and cater to different merchant needs. Oxilayer focuses on post-purchase financial management by generating PDF invoices. Its high rating and substantial number of reviews (5/5 with 105 reviews) suggest strong user satisfaction with its core functionality. VAT Dual Pricing, on the other hand, is a pre-purchase tool, specifically addressing the complexities of VAT (Value Added Tax) for businesses selling to both B2B and B2C customers. VAT Dual Pricing aims to enhance transparency and clarity by displaying VAT-inclusive and VAT-exclusive pricing on product pages, cart pages, and search results. The lower review count (24 reviews) coupled with a still-high rating (4.9/5) suggests a potentially more niche appeal or that the app is newer. The key differentiation lies in their functionalities: one creates invoices for record-keeping and compliance, while the other manages pricing displays to accommodate varying customer VAT requirements and preferences, especially targeting businesses operating in regions with complex VAT regulations.

Our Verdict
Choosing between Oxilayer PDF Invoice Generator and VAT Dual Pricing depends heavily on a merchant's specific needs. If a merchant requires a simple, reliable solution for generating PDF invoices and managing post-purchase financial records, Oxilayer PDF Invoice Generator is the clear winner. Its perfect rating and higher review count indicate a proven track record of satisfying users in this area.
However, if a merchant's primary concern is accurately displaying VAT-inclusive and VAT-exclusive pricing to different customer segments, especially when selling to both businesses and individual consumers, VAT Dual Pricing is the better choice. While it has fewer reviews, its focus on dual pricing display, comprehensive customization options, and targeting of businesses with VAT complexities make it a valuable tool for that specific use case. The complexities of dual pricing may require a bit more configuration initially.
