Pabloo Store Credit & Cashback vs Tryon: Try Before You Buyfor Shopify (2026)
Pabloo Store Credit & Cashback and Tryon: Try Before You Buy, while both fitting into the 'Payment options - Other' category, target fundamentally different aspects of the customer journey. Pabloo focuses on post-purchase engagement and loyalty, aiming to increase customer lifetime value through store credit, cashback rewards, and a loyalty program. It's designed to retain customers and encourage repeat purchases. Tryon, on the other hand, addresses pre-purchase anxieties by allowing customers to try products at home before committing to a full purchase. Our Verdict
The choice between Pabloo and Tryon hinges on the merchant's specific needs. If the priority is boosting customer lifetime value, rewarding loyal customers, and streamlining the refund process, Pabloo Store Credit & Cashback is the more suitable option. However, the lower rating and fewer reviews may be a cause for caution, warranting careful consideration of user feedback and potential support needs. Tryon: Try Before You Buy, with its higher rating and more reviews, is ideal for merchants selling products where customers value a hands-on experience before committing to a purchase. Apparel, accessories, or even some home goods retailers could benefit significantly from offering a 'try before you buy' option to alleviate purchase anxiety and increase sales. The advertised easy setup further adds to its appeal, especially for smaller businesses without extensive technical resources.
Common Questions
Which app better addresses the problem of high return rates?
Both apps address returns, but in different ways. Pabloo turns returns into store credit, reducing cash refunds but potentially limiting customer options. Tryon aims to *prevent* returns by allowing customers to try before they buy, ensuring satisfaction from the outset.
Which app is easier to set up and integrate into an existing Shopify store?
Tryon explicitly advertises a '2-minute setup,' suggesting a simpler and faster integration process. Pabloo, with its emphasis on 'Bespoke Functionality,' implies a potentially more complex setup requiring greater customization to match the brand.
Which app is more suitable for a dropshipping business model?
Neither app is explicitly tailored to dropshipping. However, Tryon might be challenging to implement in a standard dropshipping model due to the logistics of sending try-on products without holding inventory. Pabloo's store credit system is potentially more adaptable to dropshipping.
How do the payment security features of the two apps compare?
Tryon utilizes authorization holds through Shopify Payments and Paypal, providing a direct financial safeguard. Pabloo doesn't highlight specific security features but implies a reduction in cash outflow by converting refunds into store credit. Tryon's security is more direct and linked to the payment process itself.
Which app is better for a brand new store with little customer data?
Tryon might be more beneficial for a new store as it focuses on converting initial browsers to buyers. Pabloo's loyalty and cashback features are more effective with an existing customer base. Overcoming purchase hesitation in the early stages is more valuable than rewarding repeat purchases you don't have yet.
