Parcel Protect vs Shipping Protection —Shipcheckfor Shopify (2026)
Parcel Protect and Shipping Protection — Shipcheck both aim to mitigate losses from damaged, lost, or stolen packages. However, they differ significantly in their approach and target audience. Parcel Protect, backed by NTI, offers a fully managed insurance solution where the app handles claims, and the merchant essentially outsources the entire protection process. This is a true insurance model. In contrast, Shipping Protection — Shipcheck empowers merchants to create their own shipping protection program, effectively acting as their own insurance provider. Merchants set pricing, collect revenue, and manage claims internally, aiming to profit from low claim rates.
