PartialPay Deposit & Split COD vs WeGetFinancing Messagingfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, PartialPay Deposit & Split COD and WeGetFinancing Messaging both aim to enhance the checkout experience on Shopify, but they address distinct aspects of payment flexibility. PartialPay focuses on offering customizable payment plans, pre-orders, and deposits, allowing merchants to break down payments into multiple stages and offering alternative payment options. WeGetFinancing, on the other hand, centers on integrating financing options directly into the shopping experience by providing customers with instant credit information and connecting them with multiple lenders. The primary difference lies in their approach to affordability. PartialPay gives merchants control over setting their own installment plans, while WeGetFinancing acts as a facilitator between customers and lending institutions. PartialPay’s strength lies in its flexibility and compatibility with existing payment gateways and shipping providers. WeGetFinancing's value comes from its focus on increasing conversion rates by proactively showcasing financing options directly on product pages and at checkout. The vastly different customer ratings, 0/5 versus 5/5, highlight the need for careful evaluation, acknowledging that the very low review counts make both ratings potentially unreliable.

Our Verdict
For merchants needing control over payment scheduling, deposits, and pre-orders, particularly those selling higher-priced goods or customized items, PartialPay offers the flexibility to tailor payment plans. It integrates seamlessly with existing infrastructure. However, the lack of reviews creates uncertainty about the app's usability and reliability.
WeGetFinancing suits businesses prioritizing increased conversion rates by offering immediate financing options. This app seems especially effective for verticals where financing is a common purchasing behavior. While WeGetFinancing does have a perfect rating, it's based on a single review, meaning it's difficult to tell if it scales. A merchant should perform due diligence on the terms and conditions of financing programs offered.
