Partialy ‑ Partial Payment COD vs TryOnify: Try Before You Buyfor Shopify (2026)
Partialy - Partial Payment COD and TryOnify: Try Before You Buy both aim to increase sales by offering flexible payment options, but they cater to different merchant needs and customer preferences. Partialy focuses on allowing customers to pay a portion of the price upfront, with the remaining balance due via COD or online payment. This is particularly beneficial for merchants looking to reduce return-to-origin (RTO) issues and offer COD to customers in areas with limited online payment access. TryOnify, on the other hand, offers a 'Try Now, Pay Later' experience, allowing customers to try products before committing to a purchase. This is geared towards acquiring new customers by removing barriers to purchase and reducing cart abandonment by deferring payment until after a trial period.

Our Verdict
For merchants looking to offer flexible payment plans like partial payments and COD, especially those dealing with pre-orders or aiming to reduce RTO, Partialy - Partial Payment COD is the better choice. Its advanced COD rules and discount options provide granular control over the payment process. However, if the primary goal is to acquire new customers by offering a risk-free trial period and reducing cart abandonment, TryOnify: Try Before You Buy is a more suitable option. Its focus on deferring payment until after the trial period directly addresses common cart abandonment reasons.
