Payflow: COD & Payment Methods vs Releasit Cash on Delivery CODfor Shopify (2026)
Payflow: COD & Payment Methods and Releasit Cash on Delivery COD both address the need for enhanced COD management on Shopify, but cater to slightly different merchant priorities. Payflow focuses on comprehensive customization of payment and delivery methods, including hiding, renaming, and reordering based on complex conditions, aiming for a seamless and controlled checkout experience. It's positioned as a solution for merchants who need granular control over their checkout flow and want to avoid post-purchase order edits. On the other hand, Releasit Cash on Delivery COD emphasizes risk mitigation and conversion rate optimization through features like partial payments and WhatsApp OTP verification, alongside COD fee management. Releasit appears to be geared towards merchants experiencing high rates of fake orders or failed deliveries, seeking to actively reduce these issues and potentially increase prepaid orders with COD fees. Its feature set focuses on securing COD transactions and improving order fulfillment. While both apps allow conditional rules for COD, Releasit's description highlights conditions related to country, product, collection, and order value, suggesting a focus on broader, more easily implemented restrictions. Payflow, though having fewer reviews, boasts about its advanced condition tool, including AND/OR logic, indicating potential for more complex and specific conditional rulesets.
