Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero vs RT: Terms and Conditions Boxfor Shopify (2026)
Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero and RT: Terms and Conditions Box, while both operating in the Shopify checkout category, serve fundamentally different purposes. Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero focuses on optimizing the payment selection experience for customers, aiming to increase conversion rates by tailoring the available payment options. It allows merchants to hide, sort, and rename payment methods based on customer segments or business needs. Conversely, RT: Terms and Conditions Box is a legal compliance tool designed to protect the merchant by ensuring customers explicitly agree to terms and conditions before completing a purchase. Its value proposition is increased sales and a smoother checkout process. RT: Terms and Conditions Box, on the other hand, is risk-mitigation-oriented, shielding the merchant from potential legal disputes by providing documented proof of customer agreement. This app's value proposition is legal security and reduced liability. A merchant will select one over the other, or both, based on whether they want to boost conversion vs be protected with legal terms.
