Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero vs Ultimate Postal Code Blockerfor Shopify (2026)
Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero and Ultimate Postal Code Blocker are both Shopify apps listed under the 'Checkout - Other' category, but they serve drastically different purposes. Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero focuses on optimizing the payment experience by allowing merchants to sort, hide, or rename payment methods based on customer segments and business needs. Its primary goal is to increase checkout conversion by providing shoppers with relevant payment options. In contrast, Ultimate Postal Code Blocker, as the name suggests, is designed to restrict sales based on postal codes. It enables merchants to prevent orders from specific geographical locations, a feature not offered by Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero. The primary difference lies in their core functionality: Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero aims to enhance the payment selection process, while Ultimate Postal Code Blocker controls order eligibility based on location. Hide PaymentHero boasts a substantial number of reviews (218) with a perfect 5/5 rating, suggesting strong user satisfaction and effective functionality for its intended purpose. Ultimate Postal Code Blocker also has a 5/5 rating but with only one review, making it difficult to gauge its overall performance compared to Hide PaymentHero. Therefore, the two apps serve distinct merchant needs and should be evaluated based on whether the merchant requires payment method customization or postal code-based order restrictions.

Our Verdict
Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero is the better choice for merchants seeking to improve their checkout conversion rates by customizing the payment options presented to customers. Its robust review count and feature set make it a reliable tool for optimizing the payment experience. Merchants looking to reduce cart abandonment or highlight preferred payment methods will find Hide PaymentHero highly valuable.
However, Ultimate Postal Code Blocker is essential for merchants who need to restrict sales to specific geographic areas. This could be due to shipping limitations, legal restrictions, or other business constraints. While its single review makes it difficult to assess its reliability definitively, its core functionality is unique and irreplaceable for merchants with specific geographic constraints on order fulfillment.
