PC ‑ Custom Product Options vs VQB: AI Product Quiz Builderfor Shopify (2026)
PC ‑ Custom Product Options and VQB: AI Product Quiz Builder both operate within the custom product space on Shopify, but address very different merchant needs. PC ‑ Custom Product Options focuses on enabling merchants to offer highly customizable products directly on product pages. Its strength lies in providing a wide range of product option types (file uploads, swatches, etc.) and charging extra for these custom options to increase revenue. The app is aimed at merchants selling products where personalization is key, such as jewelry, apparel, or any item with variable specifications. VQB: AI Product Quiz Builder takes a different approach, using interactive quizzes to guide customers towards the right products or custom configurations. This app prioritizes personalized recommendations and data collection. VQB leverages AI to build quizzes quickly, but also offers extensive customization options. It's tailored for merchants seeking to improve product discovery, reduce returns through better recommendations, and gather valuable customer data for marketing purposes. This makes it suitable for stores with a wide product range or those selling complex products where customers need assistance in finding the perfect fit.

Our Verdict
For merchants who need to offer intricate product customizations directly on their product pages and want to charge extra for those options, PC ‑ Custom Product Options is the clear choice. The vast number of reviews (1018) also suggests a more mature product with a well-established user base. It's ideal for businesses where personalization is a core part of their value proposition.
On the other hand, if the goal is to guide customers towards the right products, improve product discovery, and gather valuable customer data, VQB: AI Product Quiz Builder is the better option. While having fewer reviews, its perfect rating signals highly satisfied early adopters. It’s a strong contender for stores with a large catalog or complex product offerings, especially if integrated CRM and analytics are critical to their marketing strategy.
