Our Verdict
Peel: Retention Analytics is the clear choice for Shopify merchants who want to deeply understand and improve their customer retention metrics. It provides readily available insights and actionable recommendations, particularly beneficial for DTC brands and agencies looking to optimize their marketing spend and increase customer lifetime value. Wixpa Google Tag Manager - GTM, on the other hand, is designed for merchants who already understand the power of Google Tag Manager and need a reliable solution to integrate it with their Shopify store. This is a more technical solution, ideal for those with analytics expertise or a dedicated development team. If you're looking for a simple way to improve retention, Peel is likely the better option. If you need advanced tracking and have GTM skills, Wixpa is the way to go.
Common Questions
Which app is better for improving Customer Lifetime Value (LTV)?
Peel: Retention Analytics is specifically designed to improve LTV by providing retention and subscription analytics, RFM segmentation, and integration with marketing platforms like Klaviyo and Meta.
Which app is easier to use for a non-technical Shopify merchant?
Peel: Retention Analytics offers a more user-friendly experience with pre-built templates, readily available metrics, and potentially consulting. Wixpa requires prior knowledge of Google Tag Manager.
Does Wixpa Google Tag Manager - GTM provide any analytics dashboards?
Based on the provided information, Wixpa primarily facilitates integration with Google Tag Manager and doesn't inherently provide analytics dashboards itself. It helps collect the data that can be visualized in other platforms, like Google Analytics.

If I only want to track basic website traffic, which app should I use?
