Persistent Cart ‑ Sync Devices vs Singleton | Rich Registrationfor Shopify (2026)
Persistent Cart ‑ Sync Devices and Singleton | Rich Registration both aim to enhance customer loyalty but approach it from vastly different angles. Persistent Cart focuses on solving cart abandonment due to cross-device shopping, addressing a core frustration point for mobile-first customers. It recovers carts seamlessly on login without disruptive marketing tactics, targeting merchants who want to improve conversions and AOV without sacrificing customer experience. Singleton, on the other hand, appears to center around enriching the customer registration process, likely offering functionalities such as social login, enhanced profile data collection, or personalized onboarding. The key differentiator lies in their core functionality. Persistent Cart directly tackles the issue of lost carts due to device switching, a very specific problem. Singleton's function, while related to customer loyalty, centers around improved registration and potentially more robust customer profile management. While both apps share the 'Customer loyalty' Shopify category, they address different points of the customer journey. Persistent Cart is reactive, recovering lost carts, while Singleton is proactive, improving the initial registration process.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with recovering abandoned carts due to customers switching devices, Persistent Cart ‑ Sync Devices is the clear choice. Its focus is laser-targeted on this issue, and the promise of seamless integration without disruptive marketing makes it appealing. The relatively higher number of reviews also provides slightly more social proof.
Singleton | Rich Registration is better suited for merchants who want to optimize their customer registration process and gather more comprehensive customer data. Without more information about Singleton's specific features, it's hard to be definitive, but it appears to be a more general customer loyalty tool focused on the initial registration phase. If your store already has a good handle on registration but struggles with cross-device abandonment, Persistent Cart is likely the better investment.
