Phone Revenue Platform CONSIO vs The Closer ‑ AI Sales Agentfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants choosing between Phone Revenue Platform CONSIO and The Closer ‑ AI Sales Agent face a choice between a solution with a proven (albeit limited) track record and a newer, unproven AI-driven alternative. CONSIO, with a perfect 5/5 rating from 12 reviews, has established some level of positive user experience. The Closer ‑ AI Sales Agent, on the other hand, boasts an intriguing value proposition centered around a 24/7 AI sales representative, promising to convert visitors into customers through proactive engagement and instant product knowledge. Its key selling point is the ability to integrate quickly (under two minutes with zero code) and facilitate checkout directly within the chat interface. The crucial difference lies in their core functionalities: CONSIO focuses on revenue generation through phone interactions (assuming its name is indicative of its function, even though this isn't explicitly stated in the provided data), while The Closer is built around AI-powered chat-based sales. Therefore, CONSIO likely targets merchants seeking to optimize phone-based sales processes, while The Closer aims at automating and enhancing online customer engagement and conversions through AI. The Closer's emphasis on ease of setup and proactive upselling suggests a focus on merchants who want a hands-off solution for improving online sales performance.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing a proven track record and potentially focusing on phone-based sales, Phone Revenue Platform CONSIO is the safer, though less explicitly defined, choice. However, its limited review count means merchants should proceed with caution and conduct thorough research. The Closer ‑ AI Sales Agent presents a more ambitious solution, promising significant automation and conversion improvements through its AI capabilities.
While its lack of reviews introduces substantial risk, merchants willing to be early adopters and seeking to leverage AI for customer engagement might find The Closer appealing. Given the absence of concrete information about CONSIO, and The Closer's defined feature set, merchants aiming to enhance online sales through automated chat assistance should consider The Closer for its potential, but proceed with caution given the lack of reviews.
