Picjam: AI Fashion Models vs Whatmore Shoppable Videos+Reelfor Shopify (2026)
Picjam: AI Fashion Models and Whatmore Shoppable Videos+Reel offer distinct solutions within the video and livestream Shopify category. Picjam targets fashion brands seeking to minimize photoshoot costs and time by using AI models to showcase clothing. Its strength lies in generating realistic model images and videos from flat lays or mannequin photos, offering features like model swapping and custom model creation. Whatmore, on the other hand, focuses on leveraging existing social media content, specifically Instagram Reels and TikTok videos, to create shoppable experiences within a Shopify store. It automates the process of importing and tagging products in videos, aiming to drive engagement and conversions through interactive video shopping. The primary difference lies in content creation. Picjam *creates* fashion visuals using AI, providing control over model appearance and garment fit. Whatmore *utilizes existing* video content from social media, adding shoppable elements to enhance the user experience. While both aim to boost sales through visual media, Picjam focuses on bespoke fashion imagery, while Whatmore prioritizes integration and shoppability of social media videos. Picjam's limited review count suggests it's a newer or niche app, while Whatmore boasts a significant number of positive reviews, indicating broader adoption and potentially higher reliability.

Our Verdict
For fashion brands prioritizing high-quality, customized visual content and aiming to reduce photoshoot costs, Picjam: AI Fashion Models is a compelling option, especially if they value control over model appearance and fit representation. However, the limited number of reviews warrants caution. Whatmore Shoppable Videos+Reel is ideal for merchants already heavily invested in Instagram and TikTok marketing, seeking to seamlessly integrate their social media presence with their Shopify store and drive sales through interactive video shopping. Its high review count suggests a more established and reliable app.
If your brand creates much of its content in flat lays and lacks the budget for model photography, Picjam is the clear winner. If you already have a large volume of high-performing Instagram and TikTok content and need to make it shoppable, then Whatmore is the appropriate choice. New brands without a strong social media presence may benefit from starting with Picjam to create content, while established brands could start with Whatmore.
