Our Verdict
For merchants struggling with managing a high volume of product images, PicManager Bulk Image Upload seems like the more appropriate choice. It directly addresses their needs with its focused functionality. However, the lack of detail about features or support makes it difficult to fully assess.
Platmart Bulk Price Editor is the clear winner for merchants who need robust bulk pricing management capabilities. Its higher rating, larger number of reviews, extensive feature set (including scheduling, active sale editing, and Shopify Markets support), and dedicated 24/7 human support make it a more reliable and comprehensive solution for businesses with complex pricing needs.
Common Questions
Which app is better for a small store with less than 100 products?
If the primary need is image management, PicManager *might* suffice, but further research into its capabilities is needed. If pricing is the main concern, Platmart's free trial period may be useful, although its features may be overkill for such a small inventory.
Does either app offer a free plan?
The provided data does not mention whether either app offers a free plan. Merchants should check the app listings on the Shopify App Store for the latest pricing information.
Which app is better for running flash sales?
Platmart Bulk Price Editor is significantly better for running flash sales, offering features like scheduling, auto-tagging discounted products, and editing active sales without stopping them. PicManager doesn't offer any pricing-related functionality.
Which app is easier to use?
While not explicitly stated, PicManager is likely easier to use due to its narrower focus. However, Platmart's 24/7 human support should help mitigate any potential challenges users might face, as well as providing a higher sense of support.
Which app is better for international stores using Shopify Markets?
Platmart Bulk Price Editor explicitly mentions support for Shopify Markets and fixed prices, making it a better choice for international stores needing to manage pricing in multiple currencies and regions. PicManager's functionality does not align with international pricing needs.
