Our Verdict
For art galleries, decor shops, or anyone primarily selling wall art, Picture It: AR & Art Previews is the clear choice. Its features are tailored specifically to that product type, providing a richer and more visually appealing AR experience. The existing positive reviews also lend credibility to its effectiveness. SeeFit AR ‑ AR Size Checker, while promising, lacks any user feedback and offers a more basic size visualization, making it a better fit for merchants selling products where dimensions are crucial but a photorealistic AR preview isn't necessary. It's a general solution, whereas Picture It is niche and proven. New merchants or those in high return rate categories should consider testing SeeFit AR if the cost is reasonable, acknowledging the lack of social proof.
However, Picture It is the better option in the near future for any merchant in the Art/Home Decor niche, even if they're exploring a paid tier of services to expand their business and attract new users or grow sales with their existing audience.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim to require no 3D models or coding, suggesting a simple setup. However, SeeFit AR's description focuses on its ease of use, implying a potentially simpler initial configuration for basic size visualization, given the narrower feature set.
Which app provides a more immersive AR experience?
Picture It: AR & Art Previews offers a more immersive experience with its virtual showrooms and automatic frame addition. These features create a more realistic and engaging preview of artwork in a customer's space.
Can both apps track analytics?
Only Picture It explicitly mentions built-in analytics for tracking product previews and sales trends. There is no mention of analytics in SeeFit AR's description.
Which app is better for reducing returns?
While both apps aim to increase buyer confidence, SeeFit AR directly addresses the issue of product size uncertainty, which is a common cause of returns. By allowing customers to visualize the product's dimensions in AR, it helps them make more informed purchase decisions and avoid size-related returns.
Does Picture It work for items other than art (e.g., mirrors, tapestries)?
While the app description focuses on art and decor, the core functionality of previewing items on walls or in virtual rooms *could* potentially be adapted to other similar items like mirrors or tapestries. Users would need to test to confirm compatibility. SeeFit is a better option for non-wall-hanging items.
