Picture It: AR & Art Previews vs Specfit ‑ Eyewear Live Try‑Onfor Shopify (2026)
Picture It: AR & Art Previews and Specfit ‑ Eyewear Live Try‑On both operate within the 3D/AR/VR space on Shopify, but cater to vastly different niches. Picture It is tailored for art galleries, art stores, and decor shops selling wall art, providing augmented reality previews of artwork on walls and in virtual showrooms. Its strength lies in its focus on enhancing the visual presentation of wall art to improve customer confidence and drive sales within this specific market. Specfit, on the other hand, targets eyewear retailers. It uses AI-powered face detection for virtual try-on experiences. Given its zero rating and zero reviews, the app is possibly either very new or experiencing adoption challenges. The key difference lies in the product visualization focus: Picture It deals with wall art placement, whereas Specfit focuses on eyewear fit and appearance on a user's face. Ultimately, they provide virtual try-on capabilities, but cater to totally separate product categories and shopping experiences.

Our Verdict
Choosing between Picture It and Specfit is straightforward: if you sell wall art, Picture It is designed for you. Its features like virtual showrooms, dimension import, and built-in analytics directly address the challenges of selling art online, by allowing customers to visualize the art in their own homes. The positive reviews further support its effectiveness.
Specfit, while promising a valuable service for eyewear retailers, lacks user reviews and a rating. This makes it difficult to assess its real-world performance. While the AI-powered face detection sounds appealing, the lack of social proof makes it riskier to adopt. Eyewear retailers might consider looking for alternatives with established ratings or waiting for more user feedback on Specfit before committing.
