Picture It: AR & Art Previews vs Webkul Fashion Tryonfor Shopify (2026)
Picture It: AR & Art Previews and Webkul Fashion Tryon both aim to enhance the customer experience using 3D/AR/VR technology. However, they cater to distinct product categories and offer significantly different levels of validation from users. Picture It: AR & Art Previews focuses on wall art and interior decor, offering features like virtual showrooms, automatic dimension import, and frame addition. Its core value proposition is boosting art sales by allowing customers to visualize artwork in their homes before purchasing. The app also provides built-in analytics to track product previews and sales trends. Webkul Fashion Tryon, on the other hand, targets the fashion industry, specifically focusing on accessories like sunglasses, bindis, and lipsticks. Its key feature is a virtual try-on experience using AI that allows customers to see how these products would look on them in a 2D format. It offers merchants the flexibility to enable or disable the try-on feature for specific products and categories. The apps provide virtual try-on functionality, but the product categories and levels of validation are disparate. Given the difference in validation levels, one is significantly more trustworthy than the other.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants selling wall art and decor, Picture It: AR & Art Previews appears to be the stronger choice based on its high rating, positive reviews, and comprehensive feature set, including virtual showrooms and automatic dimension import. The existing user base provides a level of trust and validation that is currently absent from Webkul Fashion Tryon.
Webkul Fashion Tryon may be suitable for fashion retailers specifically selling sunglasses, bindis, or lipsticks who are willing to be early adopters and provide feedback to the developers. However, the lack of reviews and the 2D nature of the try-on feature might make it a riskier choice for merchants seeking a proven solution. A fashion retailer should wait until the app has a proven history.
