Pirate Ship: CheapARR Shipping vs Sendle Dashboard Shippingfor Shopify (2026)
Pirate Ship: CheapARR Shipping and Sendle Dashboard Shipping both aim to simplify shipping for Shopify merchants, but they cater to different needs and priorities. Pirate Ship focuses on cost savings, particularly for businesses shipping within the US using USPS and UPS. Its headline boasts "Save your booty" with pre-negotiated discounts and access to specialized services like UPS Ground Saver and USPS Priority Mail Cubic. The app emphasizes ease of use and rapid setup. Sendle, on the other hand, positions itself as a carbon-neutral shipping solution targeting small businesses in the US, Canada, and Australia. It highlights convenience through pickup/dropoff options and a growing delivery network, promising speeds and rates comparable to larger enterprises. Sendle emphasizes environmental responsibility and a broader geographical scope. The significant difference in ratings and the number of reviews strongly suggests Pirate Ship has wider adoption and potentially greater user satisfaction, even if its focus is narrower in terms of carrier options and geographical scope. While both offer label generation and shipment tracking, Pirate Ship centers on direct savings through carrier discounts, while Sendle promotes a complete shipping management solution that includes carbon neutrality and a potentially more hands-on support experience.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily shipping within the US and focused on minimizing shipping costs using UPS and USPS, Pirate Ship: CheapARR Shipping appears to be the stronger choice. Its higher rating, significantly more reviews, and specific claims of pre-negotiated discounts make it compelling. The ease of use claim is also a significant factor for those seeking a quick setup.
However, if your business prioritizes environmental sustainability, ships to or from Canada and Australia, and is willing to potentially trade off some cost savings for carbon-neutral options and a more comprehensive shipping management system with pickup/dropoff options and dedicated support, Sendle Dashboard Shipping might be a better fit, despite its lower rating and fewer reviews. Merchants should also consider Sendle if they anticipate needing more hands-on support from a dedicated manager.
