Our Verdict
Pirate Ship is ideal for merchants who prioritize minimizing shipping costs and are comfortable managing customer communication regarding shipping themselves. Its strength lies in securing lower rates and providing a streamlined shipping label printing process. TrackingMore is better suited for merchants who are experiencing a high volume of 'Where Is My Order?' inquiries and want to enhance the post-purchase experience with branded tracking pages and automated notifications. If customer satisfaction and reducing support workload are key priorities, TrackingMore is the stronger choice, despite its higher complexity. If, however, the goal is to save money directly on shipping costs and the merchant doesn't mind handling more customer service inquiries, Pirate Ship may be more appropriate. A merchant could benefit from using both apps; Pirate Ship for labeling and rates, then feeding information into TrackingMore to manage the post purchase experience.
