Our Verdict
SEO Speed Image Optimizer is the stronger choice for most merchants due to its comprehensive approach to image optimization, addressing both image size and alt text, and providing reporting. The significantly higher number of reviews (183 vs. 1) adds credibility. However, Pixc: Auto Alt Text might be preferred by merchants *solely* concerned with alt text and seeking the simplest possible interface, especially if they already have solutions for image resizing and compression. It's important to consider the extremely low review count; further investigation is crucial before choosing Pixc.
