PMA ‑ Power My Analytics vs Report Toaster: Custom Reportsfor Shopify (2026)
PMA ‑ Power My Analytics and Report Toaster: Custom Reports both aim to provide Shopify merchants with enhanced analytics and reporting capabilities, but they differ significantly in their approach and user reception. PMA ‑ Power My Analytics positions itself as a tool for marketers and agencies to build custom dashboards and automate reporting by integrating Shopify data into external dashboards, spreadsheets, and BI tools. It focuses on customization and data portability. Report Toaster: Custom Reports, on the other hand, is presented as a comprehensive reporting and analytics app that allows merchants to create, schedule, and export custom reports directly within the Shopify environment. The key difference lies in the target audience and the level of complexity. PMA seems geared towards users already comfortable with external BI tools and requiring data integration outside of Shopify, while Report Toaster targets merchants looking for a more self-contained reporting solution with pre-built templates and direct data manipulation within the app. Report Toaster’s existing user base and overwhelmingly positive reviews also suggest a more stable and user-friendly experience. The focus on scheduled reports, sharing capabilities, and multi-store reporting further distinguishes Report Toaster from PMA.

Our Verdict
Given the current state of both apps, Report Toaster: Custom Reports appears to be the stronger choice for most Shopify merchants. Its high rating and numerous positive reviews indicate a reliable and user-friendly experience. The extensive features, including pre-built templates, scheduled reports, and multi-store support, provide a more comprehensive reporting solution within the Shopify ecosystem.
PMA ‑ Power My Analytics might be a suitable option for marketers or agencies specifically needing to integrate Shopify data with external BI tools and who are comfortable setting up custom dashboards. However, the low rating and lack of reviews raise concerns about its reliability and overall usability. Until PMA demonstrates significant improvements and gains positive traction, Report Toaster presents a more compelling and safer choice for data-driven Shopify merchants seeking comprehensive reporting solutions.
