PML Stock Take Inventory Count vs QuickEdit: Bulk Product Editfor Shopify (2026)
PML Stock Take Inventory Count and QuickEdit: Bulk Product Edit, while both categorized under 'Inventory' in the Shopify app store, cater to vastly different needs. PML Stock Take focuses on physical inventory management and accuracy within brick-and-mortar stores. Its strengths lie in streamlining stocktakes using barcode scanning and integration with Shopify POS, making it ideal for merchants struggling with stock discrepancies in physical locations. QuickEdit, on the other hand, is designed for efficient bulk editing of product information across the entire Shopify store. QuickEdit targets merchants who need to make large-scale changes to their product catalog – updating prices, descriptions, tags, or inventory levels across numerous products simultaneously. Its scheduling and revert features provide a safety net, mitigating the risk of errors during complex edits. The app's focus is on saving time and reducing the manual effort required for managing extensive product listings online, whereas PML Stock Take helps with preventing errors in physical stores. The choice between the two depends entirely on the merchant's pain points. If inventory discrepancies in physical stores are the primary concern, PML Stock Take is the clear winner. If the issue is efficiently managing and updating a large online product catalog, QuickEdit is the more suitable solution.
