Podbase: Print on Demand vs STTM: Dropshipping & Sourcingfor Shopify (2026)
Podbase: Print on Demand and STTM: Dropshipping & Sourcing both cater to merchants looking to streamline their fulfillment processes, but they focus on different business models. Podbase specializes in print-on-demand (POD) products, specifically focusing on custom designs for niches and offering a range of accessories like phone cases and MacBook covers. Their strength lies in their easy-to-use product designer, fast printing and delivery within the USA and EU, and automated fulfillment. They explicitly target merchants seeking to create custom-designed products without managing inventory. STTM: Dropshipping & Sourcing, on the other hand, takes a broader approach to dropshipping and sourcing. It emphasizes high-quality sourcing, logistics, and inventory management, appealing to merchants who want a more comprehensive solution to manage various product types and fulfillment globally. While STTM offers a 'Customized/POD' feature, it's part of a wider suite of services aimed at scaling fulfillment capabilities and reducing logistics friction. STTM's primary appeal is to merchants who need robust sourcing and global fulfillment capabilities beyond just POD.

Our Verdict
For merchants solely focused on print-on-demand products with a specific emphasis on accessories and a target market in the USA and EU, Podbase: Print on Demand is likely the better choice. Its dedicated focus on POD and user-friendly product designer make it an accessible option for those new to ecommerce. STTM: Dropshipping & Sourcing is more suitable for established businesses with broader product lines, a need for global fulfillment, and a desire for comprehensive sourcing and logistics management. While STTM offers a customized/POD feature, it's part of a larger suite of services, making it a more complex solution than Podbase.
